 Malgrat De Mar: A fairly lively no-frills resort, specialising in good-value holidays. There is a small train that will drive you around the resort and take you from the hotels to the beach. Long stretch of coarse sand punctuated by small rocky outcrops, between which there are narrow, shelving bays. Malgrat de Mar has a wonderful long sandy beach with a promenade lined with shops, bars and restaurants. Pedestrian subways at intervals allow access under the railway to the beach. Sunbeds, parasols and the usual water-sports offerings. Nightlife consists of a couple of discos and bars. Malgrat is an ideal resort for families and couples. |
